Portfolio meeting

Several members from our consortium had two productive days at the EIC Pathfinder Healthcare Continuum Annual Portfolio Meeting at Fraunhofer Institute in Munich. They represented our BreathSense project alongside colleagues from across Europe and online participants.

The meeting brought together teams working on technologies that aim to shift healthcare from episodic treatment to continuous monitoring and intervention. Despite working on very different technologies - breath analysis, wearable devices, implantable sensors, AI diagnostics - we discovered how much common ground we share and found some exciting opportunities to collaborate.

Chandan Sreedhara from RespiQ gave a insightful presentation on AI and Laura Verga from RespiQ gave a presentation on breath analyses, together with the Vocoder EIC Pathfinder project.

The regulatory discussion provided useful clarity on navigating certifications, while the IP workshop with EPO experts showed just how active this space is - around 6,000 healthcare-related patents filed last year.

It was great to see genuine collaboration emerging between teams and exchange of ideas between multiple projects!
