Consortium Meeting in London
On 9–10 June 2026, the Breath-Sense consortium gathered at King's College London for two days of productive discussions.
From across Europe, our partners came together for this annual meeting, which offered a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our progress, share updates on the latest technology, and plan the final stages of our Breath-Sense journey.
The meeting began with a patient focus group at Guy's Hospital. Led by our clinical teams, this session once again placed real-world patient experiences at the core of our technology and workflow design.
Following this, the full consortium engaged in technical and engineering discussions. Highlighting the strength of our multidisciplinary collaboration, partners presented significant breakthroughs in the project's key components, from device fabrication and prototype refinement to upcoming clinical proof-of-concept plans. A nice and informative highlight for the team was a live demonstration of hardware-software integration, showcasing the exciting progress made so far and the tangible results already achieved by the project.
As we officially enter the final phase of the Breath-Sense project, the productive discussions and alignment sessions in London have confirmed that we are on the right track. In addition to addressing the immediate project timeline, the consortium also engaged in strategic sessions to outline future scientific directions, plan for upcoming publications, and explore commercialisation pathways to move our technology from the lab to the market.
And, of course, we capped off the discussions with a delicious dinner!
A huge thank you to Professor Richard Russell and Professor Mona Bafadhel for being such excellent hosts, and to every single consortium member for the incredible dedication that continues to drive Breath-Sense forward.
The final chapter of the project is officially underway—stay tuned for more updates as we work to bring this vision to life!
