Knowledge bite #4: A user-friendly solution
In this new episode of Knowledge Bites, we take a closer look at the hardware behind Breath-Sense. How do our scientists transform advanced technology into something anyone can use?
Enrique Escobedo-Cousin, Senior Research Scientist at SINTEF, joins Mira Gleisberg, RespiQ’s founder, to share the journey of turning a lab-based prototype into a compact, user-friendly device. While today’s testing unit may still look large to our scientists, the sensing chips inside are already small and will become even smaller as development progresses. The goal? A device that everyone can use easily and effortlessly.
Breath-Sense combines plasma sensing with AI to analyse breath, translating complex chemistry into clear, actionable insights. Paired with a user-friendly app, it will deliver information that’s intuitive for patients and clinicians to understand and act on.
By shrinking powerful science into a simple experience, Breath-Sense is preparing to move from the lab into everyday life.
The Breath-Sense journey’s just getting started … keep an eye out for what comes next!
